Writing Disneystrology

Writing Disneystrology was truly a labor of love. There were many, many days when I was up all night researching the array of Disney characters and finding their special place in the book. I watched movies, read dialogue, searched online, and gathered trunk loads of library books taking notes and looking for novel bits of information that would reveal the creative origins behind each character and story.

DisneystrologyNone of the characters I chose to include in Disneystrology were fillers or afterthoughts. I treated each birthday as my own. My intention, as you read your birthday entry, is for you to remember how magical you are, the important role you play in the lives of others, and to bring a smile to your face.

Disneystrology was a 2011 YALSA (Young)
Adult Library Services Association) Quick Picks
for Reluctant Young Adult Readers nominee.
